5 Exercises to Tone and Tighten Your Abs and Butt!
Many of you have been asking about my fitness routine so here are my top exercises for abs and butt.
Since, it’s getting colder all these exercises can be done in the comfort of your own home! All you need is a pair of weights (optional). I know in the cold weather many of us don’t feel like working out. I can relate to that but if you can incorporate these exercises as little as 15 mins a day you are gonna see long-term benefits.
Remember, It’s not who you are that holds you back, it’s who you think you’re not. The key to succeed in your fitness goals is setting small goals for yourself to achieve. For example: in a month increase the number of push ups you can do. The end achievement should be to strive for progress, not perfection.
Stand with your feet slightly wider than your hips. Your toes should be pointed slightly outward – about 5 to 20 degrees outward. Look straight ahead and pick a spot on the wall in front of you. You’ll want to look at this spot the entire time you squat, not looking down at the floor or up at the ceiling.
2. Lunge Kick
Stand holding a dumbbell in your left hand, then lunge back with the left leg until the right thigh is parallel to the ground. Rise up as you kick your left leg out in front of you.
Lie flat on the floor with your lower back pressed to the ground (pull your navel in to also target your deep abs). Put your hands behind your head, then bring your knees in towards your chest and lift your shoulder blades off the ground.
Place the forearms on the ground with the elbows aligned below the shoulders, and arms parallel to the body at about shoulder-width distance.
5. Leg Lift
Lie flat on your back with your legs stretched out in front of you. Raise your legs to the ceiling without bending them. This will work out your abs even more.For even more of a workout, you can lift your straightened legs all the up on a count of ten, and then lower them down while counting to ten again.
